Qualification
  • Qualifying Exam: Candidates should have cleared the 10+ 2 or equivalent from a recognized board. Example candidates who have cleared the 12th board exam in 2022 and 2023 or will appear for the exam in 2024 are eligible.
  • Candidates can appear for JEE Advanced for a maximum of two consecutive years.
  • Those with a Diploma can now also apply for JEE, but only for admission in IITs. These candidates also need to appear for JEE Advanced.
Candidates need to be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (across all categories) in the BE/BTech Paper of JEE Main.

    Admission Criteria for NITs, IITs, and CFTIsFor B.Tech/ B.Arch/ B.Plan :
    Minimum 75 per cent marks (65 per cent for SC/ST category) or should come under the top 20 percentile.
    For B.Arch in institutes other than NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs:
    50 per cent aggregate marks in Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics in the 10+ 2 or equivalent examinations.

    Step 1 Registration:
    1. Visit the official website of JEE Main – https://jeemain.nta.ac.in.
    2. Click on the online JEE Main 2024 application form
    Login: Since JEE Advanced form can be filled by candidates who qualify the JEE Main cutoff, only such candidates can register for JEE Advanced. Login with JEE Main 2024 application number and password.
    Step 2Application Form:
    Aspirants need to fill their personal, academic, and contact details in the JEE Main application form 2024 and note down system generated application number.

    •  Exam – Choice of paper – 1 or 2 or both. Candidates must also select the preference of exam language in which they prefer to appear. Personal – Here candidates have to provide name, category, father’s and mother’s name, etc. Communication – Candidates have to provide their residential and correspondence details.  Choose Password – Enter the password and confirm the same.

    • Security – Candidates have to enter security Q and A for further login on the website. Review all the details before submitting the registration form. Review the page after entering creating the password, if any modifications are required candidates can do so by clicking on the edit option. Now complete the JEE Main application form.

      Review all the details and make all the changes/modifications required in the application form. A pop-up window asking the students for final submissions will be displayed. If clicked ‘yes’ candidates will have to proceed to the next step

    • Candidates have to furnish some details in the registration form. JEE Main details in the form will be prefilled from the JEE Main 2024 database.

    Step 3 – Upload scanned documents
    •  The photograph should be coloured or black/white (but in clear contrast) with the name of the candidate and the date of taking the photograph printed on it.
    • The photograph should not have the candidate wearing a cap or sunglasses. Spectacles are allowed. Polaroid photos are not acceptable.
    • Candidates with an unclear photograph will be rejected.
    • Candidates are advised to reserve 6-8 identical photographs for all future purposes including the seat allocation and admission process.

    Step 4: Pay the application fee.Candidates can pay the application fees only on online mode. For online payment, candidates can pay through Credit Card/ Debit Card/ Net Banking/Paytm/UPI.

    Step 5: Print registration receipt.The last step is to take four printouts of the confirmation page, after the successful payment of JEE Main application fees. Candidates must keep this acknowledgment page till the admission process is over.For the sake of proof of JEE Advanced registration, print the registration receipt.
